Description
The color of corten steel is orange-brown, giving the BAYOU a warm and powerful appearance. It forms through a natural rust layer. Another name for corten steel is weathering steel: weather conditions positively affect the material.
Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron, to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium are added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material is covered with a protective rust layer. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. As a result, corten steel products have a long lifespan.

Key points of interest:
The Corten steel water table requires regular maintenance. The water table must be completely emptied every 3 months, clean it thoroughly and refill it with clean water. This prevents damage from, for example, rust water. In addition, keep checking the pH value regularly. This should be neutral (7).

- Products should be unpacked immediately after receipt, so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause irregular rust stains.
- Water elements should be placed on a solid, level surface.
- We do not recommend installing Corten steel within 2 km of a coastline.
- During the rusting process, rust water may come off the product.
- Drilling or grinding in a manner not prescribed will void the guarantee.
- The pH value of the water should be neutral (7) so that the material is not affected.
